Sorry, no cards to share right now. The memory card in my camera is full and I have no idea how to transfer it to a CD to empty it. Lol. Guess I'll have to learn how soon! I made a couple of cards recently, nothing too exciting. We just got back from vacation, short work week and another weekend is coming up but I'll have to work on Sunday AND Monday (Monday is a holiday again for us but I'll make up later on and take off work!)

Finally able to put photos of my cards here. Sometimes Blogger doesn't succeed in posting my photos, I am not sure why. Anyway here are some pics of my cards I made in the past several weeks. Just finally had a chance to post 'em.

The top one was inspired by someone on SCS, I am sorry I can't remember who it was. Blogger doesn't always allow me to post my photos so I always forget who to credit. I need to write notes! Anyway the bottom of the card had a blooper on it so I decided to cut the bottom part out on the outlines to 'cover up' the oops I made on it. This was used with the Doodle This stamp set. The word "Beauty" was made using the Karen Foster Alphabet Snap stamps (both casual and formal fonts).

The purple one is what I made for Mother's Day to my mom. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out. I used Prismacolor pencils and "gamsol" to blend in the colors and Prima flowers with brads in them. Ribbon as well! This was stamped on watercolor paper and layered on purple plaid patterned paper on top of Orchid Opulence cardstock.

One card I made over the weekend... I've kind of lost my mojo. I tried SO hard to come up with ideas for what I want to do, but the harder I tried, the worse it was for me. I was pushing too hard. So, I've heard it is best to just let it go and come back later. It'll come back, hopefully!! About this card... I saw this idea on SCS, it's not exactly the same but basically same idea and I loved it. It was also a very warm day in January so this card was fitting! My husband was kind enough to add a few little shelves in my stamping area. I should have taken a picture of the area but it's still too messy for a decent picture. Tomorrow begins our work week. I've got my work cut out for me. Ta ta for now.

Gosh... I just feel soooo bad... I got a HUGE speeding ticket driving down to Mongtomery for a meeting. I guess I thought I was driving a Nascar! I was going ...............

The picture is from Kat's Christmas program at school last Friday. She did a great job! We were so proud of her. I know I have not posted any cards in a while, I can't help sharing pictures of Kat with all the holiday happenings recently. I have not had much time to stamp in a while. We just finished wrapping Santa's presents for Kat to open up tomorrow morning. We are doing the Santa Christmas early since we are leaving to go to Florida and Georgia on Tuesday after work for a week. Hopefully in the new year I will get to stamp a lot more and share them here. I am starting to run out of extra cards that I hold on hand. Off to bed.

A very quick post on this very foggy morning. Kat has been sick with strep throat. Several other kids at school have it too. She has been a good sport and is doing fine. We took her to see Santa the other night. It's the first time she did great with him! She loved it, just like any kid should. She told him she wanted a puppy. Her uncle is giving her a Lick n Love puppy (we are not ready for real pets yet!) I'm including two pictures. One is out of focus and I apologize, but the pose was really good. The other picture is in better focus. Today is her Christmas program at school. Hard to believe we are leaving for Florida and Georgia next Tuesday after work!

Had a nice time in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg TN! We enjoyed spending time with our friends from NC. Katerina had a ball. Here are a couple pictures from our weekend. We were saddened to see that the Boyd Bear Country is closing down in Pigeon Forge. The one in Gettysburg PA is remaining open. Everything was on sale there so we got a few things.

I have some Christmas cards made, and some purchased. I haven't had the motivation to address them and send them out! This is considered *late* of me not to send out cards yet and it's still early December! :) I usually send right after Thanksgiving. We are going to do a newsletter this year and print a picture of the 3 of us (posted above) to include in our cards so that's the reason for the delay.

I want to try and stamp some white images over transparency sheets on cards. I've seen gorgeous cards using this technique!

It's been COLD!!!! Perfect for hot cocoa, coffee time! I need to get back to stamping and posting some of my cards here soon!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Everything is wrapped or put in gift bags.

4. Do you hang mistletoe? Yes, two of them

5. When do you put your decorations up? Right after Thanksgiving

6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Mom's Potato Salad

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child: Waking up EARLY Christmas morning waiting for Santa to finish putting our toys out in the living room

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I think it was at church when our Sunday School teacher told us she doesn't lie to her daughter about Santa. (I think it was a bad way to find out).

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? No, but I think we should start this tradition for my 3 year old daughter

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? White lights and hand picked ornaments

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love it if I don't have to drive in it. I enjoy watching from the window, hate to be cold.

24. What gets you into the holiday spirit? Our Christmas tree, decorations and looking at Christmas lights when we are out driving

26. Favorite gift you've ever given? Given to my mom... a baby bib "You are my Sunshine" since she sang that to me all the time when I was little, with a poem announcing that I was pregnant. I will never forget my mom's reaction! Priceless! There will be nothing to top this one for me.

27. Most fun Holiday memory? Bringing our two kittens with us to Florida for Christmas one year because we didn't want to leave them at the kennel for too long and they were our furbabies. It was fun having them come along. Unfortunately they are no longer with us.

28. Do you wrap your own gifts? I usually have my husband wrap all the gifts for us. But when we buy our own presents (to ourselves) we don't wrap them.

29. Most missed memory from childhood Christmas? Having my grandfather (Paw Paw) come by our house every Christmas morning to visit and some years I would ride with him to visit my other cousins.

Thanksgiving is over and Christmas season has begun. It was nice having my mom here visiting with us and spending quality time with Katerina. They had a ball. Mom's food was delicious. Friday morning Mom and I hit Kohl's at 5AM! We got some good deals there and then we went to Parisian's where we also got great deals. Walmart, Target and then to Linen & Things which was a NIGHTMARE! The parking lot was impossible. If I have a chance to do it again next year, I think Kohl's and Parisian's or any other store that has the early bird special would be worth going to for good prices and bargains.
Saturday was such a beautiful sunny and warm day. Mike hung the Christmas lights outside while Katerina and I played outside. Today we are going to decorate our Christmas tree!

I'm an early bird so I woke up and happened to look at some of my old blogs from when Katerina was a baby and I was a Stay At Home Mom. Oh boy! I really miss my little baby, where did the time go? She was such a sweet little baby! I'm glad I blogged some of her life as a baby and had some awesome pictures of her. It was bittersweet looking through her pictures. It made me briefly have an urge for another baby but in reality I do not want and do not plan on another one.
Well, I better go and start my day. I took a few pictures of my mom, Katerina and will take a few more pictures of the Christmas decorations and post them here later on as well as some of the other Christmas cards I made.

My mother's coming today for Thanksgiving. It's a big deal because she doesn't ever leave her home town. The only time she came to visit was when I was 9 months pregnant and ready to have Katerina (that was in NC).

Had a nice weekend with my friend who came down to visit. We caught up on our lives and stamped, played with Katerina and basically spent quality time and showed her around the city. The above cards are a couple that I made over the weekend, I may post some more later on. It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week! Well I'm back to the stamping room to see what I can whip up.

Oh my gosh! It seems that both of Kat's teachers were fired. Long story short, a new teacher introduced herself to me this afternoon. I remember one of her teachers was frantically getting ready to leave yesterday without making eye contact and the Director was writing down the teacher's address. Looking back, it is clear something was wrong. The school is not telling me anything except that it had nothing to do with the children's safety. They said the Director is sending out a letter on Monday. I've spoken with another parent about it and we are not happy with how the school is handling it. Unfortunately the school is closed tomorrow and Friday due to the entire school staff training (already planned way ahead of time) so we won't know much until maybe Monday. I felt that the teachers were doing a wonderful job but who knows. Katerina seems unaffected, which is good. I watch her daily on the internet and from the looks of it, she enjoys school. I'm just in a bit of a shock and keep wondering what happened. I hope Katerina likes her new teacher. If the school gives us any more problems, there are two other schools we have in mind as backup. We'll see.

I've been gearing up for my friend's arrival tomorrow! We plan to catch up, chat, stamp & play and show her around town this weekend. I'm off work Friday and Monday, hooray. Today was supposed to be spent cleaning ALL day but I sneaked some stamping time in. Just couldn't resist. Here are the 3 cards I made today, not too happy with the pink/brown one but like the other 2 better.
Today I went through Katerina's bedroom and got rid of some of her babyish toys and books and unwanted stuffed dolls. She has TOO MUCH. I have two large boxes for my husband to put away. It felt good to organize her stuff as well as her clothes. I cleaned up the bonus room a little bit. Kat has a whole lot more stuff downstairs in the living room, I didn't bother going through them to eliminate. I just put them all in baskets for now.
My friend from my college days is coming this weekend and she is an avid stamper. Should be fun.
I've really enjoyed reading other blogs. There are more and more growing everyday. It's neat. Well I'm off to do my nightly routine with Katerina. Leave me some comments.

I played with the "Lovely As A Tree" stamp set and tried pink trees. Ha. I am pretty pleased with the outcome. Just need to keep playing!

Everyone else has been trying out the oval punch to make a flower card, I had to try it. Not bad. It was fun to try.

Katerina was a black kitty cat for Halloween. She scored a lot of chocolate candy in our neighborhood although many people have not moved in yet (we are in a brand new, developing subdivision). The basket of cookies and candy is from our next door neighbor, how sweet. I cannot believe the holidays are just around the corner. My mother will be coming to visit! It's a big deal because she never ever goes out of state, much less her own hometown to visit. I am supposed to be cleaning house this weekend but am tempted to stamp all day. Katerina even stamped a little this morning. We made some gooey butter cookies, not sure how they turned out. Katerina is making letters with her M&M's. They can be good for something!

Hello, I'm back! It's been a long time since I've posted. Just been busy with life and work, I've slacked on my blog. Above is one of my stamped work I made for a friend earlier this year. It's a 3x3 scrapbook. I have a few of these to stamp on, wish I had plenty more to make little gifts out of. I need to do a major cleanup in my stamp area before a friend comes down to visit from out of state next week. I've been enjoying reading alot of stamp blogs along with blogs about the Gallaudet University protest (the world's only liberal arts university for the deaf). I hope to spend more time updating my blog in the future. Until then, bear with me.

It's been a while since I posted here. I was so glad to be back home after being away for 8 days. Kat sure looked older. She had a bit of separation anxiety each morning this week when I dropped her off at preschool, but it got better each day. I haven't made any new cards that are worth posting here yet but hope to this weekend! Oh, a cute little story about Kat. I wore some round silver earrings yesterday and she noticed them. I said "yeah they are round, what do they look like?" (I was thinking donuts, tires, or something that is round) Kat said "earrings!" She can be so Literal. Lol.

Wow, it's been a while. I'm still in Montgomery, AL. It has been a looong week at training. I had a hard time last Tuesday night but was fine the rest of the week. Tomorrow (Sunday) I get to go home and see my baby!! I miss her terribly. It's been nice to just take care of myself for a change, but one week is too long away from home. I still have quite a busy month ahead of me. It'll be nice to be back home and into the groove of things.

I haven't made any cards that are worth posting lately, but here's a card I made a few months ago that I'm pleased with. I used watercolor crayons on this one. If I don't post for a week, I'm probably tied up with work out of town. If I get a chance, I will try to post here.

I've been stamping a little here and there to get my "fix".
Sadly, I will be leaving this weekend and be away from my baby for 8 days. The longest away from her, ever. I have to go out of town for work. Work is work. After my long week away, I hope to post some more of my stamped cards. I'm very happy to have a good friend come visit in October and we plan to stamp away! More later...

This is one of my favorite pictures of Kat from the beach this recent vacation to Pensacola. The beach was so white, it looked like snow! We've been back home for several days and Kat still talks about going back to the beach and the hotel. We shall return next year!

We're home from vacation as of Monday night. We had a nice time at the beach and the hotel's pools & dining out. Kat especially loved the pools, she laughed and laughed. We also met some friends from TN and Navarre, FL. I will include a few pictures here later on when I have more time. We're baaack and we've got a busy month ahead!

Yup... that's right, this is where we are going tomorrow for my birthday weekend! The *BEACH*. I am so ready for it. I'll be back to keep you posted on our vacation when I can.

Here are photos of my little Princess. She was a true Princess at her 3rd birthday party! We had a wonderful time. The other photo is of her at the park on her 3rd birthday. We took her to the park as a birthday treat and she sure had a ball!

Welcome to my blog!! I've started many other blogs but never followed through with more than one or two posts. I think I will like this one. Let's see how this goes! Here is a card I made for a dear friend. I am quite happy with how this turned out. I used Ann Griffin paper and a Hostess set from Stampin' Up! Both Ways Blossoms. It doesn't show very clearly in the picture but I used clear glitter pen to color over the roses. I am hoping to continue to blog here. Check back for updates and feel free to leave comments!
